New Hat

Yay! My hat came in, and it actually fits alright. Still a tiny bit loose, but it's better than it being tight, right?

The only thing is that I hadn't realized the brim was curved upward. I was hoping for a flat-brimmed hat, but...oh, well. I'll just have to buy another one that's flat-brimmed to wear around all the time. Heh.

In my lab today, I found out that scientists are starting to go away from the Kingdom, Phylum, etc. taxonomy. Instead, they're using phylogenetic trees which just split off according to traits. I wonder how well that'd work, since it'd be difficult to put them all into one huge tree to have it make more sense instead of saying, "These trees are Protista. This other set is this..." Oh, well. Not sure how long it'd take to really switch over if they fully do. *shrugs*

Bad Dream, Good Weather

Oi... Had a bad dream last night, yet I hope it doesn't effect the rest of my day too much.

In other news, the weather is really nice today. Perhaps I'll go outside or try do something other than sit on my computer all day. Maybe the extra sunshine will help.

Dreams

Part of my dream last night involved me going through a house and trying to hide from Elites. I had caught a glimpse of one, and I noted in my mind how poorly done the graphics on them were. They weren't the cool looking ones you could see in game, but something that looks similar to the version they had when Halo was still going to be on Mac. Easily late 1990's graphics.

Lea and I jumped down into this small space beneath the floor, but she kept pushing the top up to peak out at what was making the noise. Before all of this happened, we had watched a movie trailer where we were in this exact position (the Elite spotted us and killed us both), so I kept trying to get her to stop it and remain still. Eventually, I felt pressure on my head as something began to mess with the thin fabric covering us. I played dead for a few minutes until Lea said it was alright to come out. To my surprise, no one but us were there, so I crawled out and looked through the window (well...the whole wall was gone, can't really call it a 'window' per se). The sun began to rise and suddenly everything felt better, as if we had 'won.' I watched as the last of the Covenant ships were leaving.

Another part involved something to do with skate boarding and motorcycles. Some of my high school classmates were there, and they had gotten high before the competition, so the other contestants were sitting around talking about how they couldn't be high while riding.

There are other details, but I barely remember them, and I have to leave for class in a few minutes.

Do you often dream?

Wondering

Is it better to do more work on a paper since you thought of something to add/change, or just hand in the already finished paper even though you're not proud of it?

Another question regarding this: Does it matter if you're proud of your school work?
